The Friends

Ivo: Georgi and I met in 2002, when we studied together in the College of tourism in Bourgas. After graduating, I worked 3 seasons for the ATS – the Bulgarian representative of Apollo – the biggest Scandinavian tour operator. This work didn’t satisfy my vision of tourism, so the idea to start something that is in union with the nature was always a temptation for us. During that time I was working in London as a bartender/waiter. Georgi was still working in the mass tourism industry. It was time the ideas to become reality in order not to work for anybody else, and start building up our own project in eco tourism – EKO Club. We want to attract people, who are interested in the beautiful and untouchable nature of Bulgaria and its cultural and historical heritage.

Ivo : I try to be a good person, to think positive and not to pay attention to the bad people. I’m loyal and I regard my family and friends as hugely important. I am always ready for new experiences and travelling.
Likes: Truth, summer, nature, books, to make and listen to music
Dislikes: People who do bad things, dirtiness, commercialism, politics, gossiping.

George: In 2002, I entered the College of Tourism in Bourgas .I finished the specialist degree and now I’m graduating for the bachelor one. Through the years, I used to change jobs each 3-4 months to find my place in the tourism area.I worked as a bartender, bar-manager, bellboy, driver, tour guide and tour representative. I found out that the mass tourism is not my field as I wasn’t satisfied with the promotion of the commercialism and the lack of respect towards our traditions. When I met Ivo at university, we decided to form our own kind of tourism, which represents our conception of travelling and living. Tourism,  that is different that the commercial tourism, full of excitement, joy, activities and conservation of our nature.

George : I'm positive and ambitious in the conservation of nature. I love the people closest to me, travel and the historical and cultural heritage of Bulgaria.
Likes: Friendship, winter, nature, music, loyalty
Dislikes: Slave thinking, dirtiness, hypocrisy, envy, greed.

In spring 2010 we met Carla-Maria Pfitzer from Germany. She is studying “Soziokulturelle Animation” in Switzerland and she’s supporting us with the marketing and advertising in Germany and Switzerland.
